几乎: almost

几乎 + 每…都 / 没有 / verb

几乎 is “almost”; it goes before the verb, or before 每…都 and 没有: 几乎每天都来, 几乎没有人. Keep the 都 in the first one. And 我几乎忘了 is “I almost forgot”.

Examples

  • 他几乎每天都来。 Tā jīhū měi tiān dōu lái. He comes almost every day.
  • 教室里几乎没有人。 Jiàoshì li jīhū méiyǒu rén. There's almost nobody in the classroom.
  • 我几乎忘了。 Wǒ jīhū wàng le. I almost forgot.
