…之一: one of
(最 + adjective 的) + noun + 之一
“One of” goes at the end: first the group, then 之一: 最好的朋友之一, “one of my best friends”. Don't start with 一个: 一个最好的朋友 doesn't mean “one of”.
Examples
- 这是原因之一。 Zhè shì yuányīn zhīyī. That's one of the reasons.
- 他是我最好的朋友之一。 Tā shì wǒ zuì hǎo de péngyou zhīyī. He's one of my best friends.
- 北京是中国最大的城市之一。 Běijīng shì Zhōngguó zuì dà de chéngshì zhīyī. Beijing is one of the biggest cities in China.
