比: by how much
A 比 B + adj + 三岁 / 一点儿 / 多了
After the adjective you can say by how much: 大三岁 “three years older”, 冷一点儿 “a little colder”, 好多了 “much better”. Don't put 很 after 比: 比我很大 is wrong.
Examples
- 哥哥比我大三岁。 Gēge bǐ wǒ dà sān suì. My older brother is three years older than me.
- 今天比昨天冷一点儿。 Jīntiān bǐ zuótiān lěng yìdiǎnr. Today is a little colder than yesterday.
- 他比我忙多了。 Tā bǐ wǒ máng duō le. He is much busier than me.
