可能, 也许, 好像: maybe, seems
可能 / 也许 / 好像 + verb / adj
These make a guess: 可能 “possibly”, 也许 “maybe”, 好像 “it seems”. They go before a verb or adjective and soften the sentence. No word for “that” is needed.
Examples
- 他可能不来了。 Tā kěnéng bù lái le. He may not be coming.
- 明天也许会下雨。 Míngtiān yěxǔ huì xià yǔ. It might rain tomorrow.
- 他好像很累。 Tā hǎoxiàng hěn lèi. He seems very tired.
