跟…一起: together with someone
A 跟 B 一起 + verb
跟 is “with”, 一起 is “together”: 我跟朋友一起吃饭. The companion goes before the verb, not at the end. 和 joins two nouns (爸爸和妈妈); 跟…一起 says who you do something with.
Examples
- 我跟朋友一起吃饭。 Wǒ gēn péngyou yìqǐ chīfàn. I eat with a friend.
- 你跟谁一起吃饭？ Nǐ gēn shéi yìqǐ chīfàn? Who do you eat with?
- 我跟爸爸妈妈一起住。 Wǒ gēn bàba māma yìqǐ zhù. I live with my dad and mom.
