Grammar · Chapter 64
皆, 均, 颇: written 都 and 很
皆 = 都 ('all', written) · 均 = 都 ('all', written; stresses 'equally') · 颇 = 很 ('quite')
In written texts and announcements the spoken 都, 很 and 还 become one-syllable book words: 皆 'all', 均 'equally', 颇 'quite', 尚未 'not yet'. They are the same words in written dress. Mistake: looking for a special meaning in each — 皆 and 均 are just 'all'; what marks 均 out is equal sharing.
